*** GENERAL MEETING ***

This is the best way to find out about the club! We’ll give a presentation about what we do and how rad climbing is.

Tuesday, February 2nd @ 6pm

*** Q & A, Virtual Potluck ***

Want to meet more people in Cal Climbing and more people with the same interests as you? Join our zoom to ask questions about the club or about climbing, or to just hang out. This is a virtual potluck so bring something to munch on!

Thursday, February 4th @ 7pm

*** Trivia Night, Planking! ***

Join us for the last night of Crush Week. We will host some trivia (mostly climbing themed, maybe?) and then we will have our biannual Plank Challenge ( we will set some guidelines for fairness so if you are planning to compete make sure you have the ability to turn your video on in zoom). There will be prizes!!

These events are available to non-members of Cal Climbing and are an introduction to all the fun events we will be hosting throughout the year. If you want to join the club –>click here

  • NOTE: club dues this semester are FREEE, we will return to our normal dues of $20 for the year in Fall 2021

Climbing from home – Quarantine Edition

Not all of us have home walls, so cal climbers are getting creative. We are finding new routes on campus (& setting the record on the Evan’s Off-width), climbing inside our homes, building hang boards and training tools like crack-machines, and training together over Zoom.

(also, due to our social responsibility to encourage distancing and for the health and wellbeing of communities that we would be traveling to, we cancelled our Spring Break trip)

Red Rock Trip Report 2019

Cal Climbers spent spring break at Red Rock National Park, just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual spring break trip served as a way to learn new skills, meet new people, boulder, top rope, sport, and trad climb. Cal Climbers crushed some classic lines and recharged before finishing out the school year.

Cal Climbers crushing at comps!

This past semester, several Cal Climbers competed at USA climbing collegiate level events. All of our competitors qualified and then climbed at the regional level. We then sent many of those climbers to nationals hosted in  Tennessee. Our very own Dewi Zarni made it to the finals in collegiate sport climbing and crushed her way into 11th place (in the nation!). We are excited to keep climbing hard and training hard for future competitions.
